Let me introduce myself. My name is Paul Mitchell, mostly known as “Mitch”. Some of you may know me already. My passion is to work with heart-centred leaders who wish to make a real difference way beyond the bottom line. I’m so delighted that you’ll be growing your leadership capabilities through this course. Congratulations on investing your time and energy in making the world a better place - starting with you!
Here's a quick rundown of what the course is about and some tips on how to make it really count. The course is divided into 8 self-paced learning modules, each made up of videos, various activities, workbooks, extra resources and quizzes.
You can go through all the lessons at your own pace. I suggest setting aside a few hours each week to finish them. One module a week is a great goal to set yourself to keep the momentum up without going into information overload. Don’t leave it up to chance. Find a time that suits you, schedule it in your calendar and stick to it. As you’ll discover in the course, it’s consistency, not intensity that will yield you the best results.
As you progress through the course, make sure to take notes and actively participate in the lessons and activities. There are sections in the workbook for writing notes in each module. If you're old school and like putting pen to paper, print the workbooks out and fill them in that way. If you'd prefer to complete them digitally, you can save them to your device and complete them with a PDF reader app.
We’ll explain the Buddying Up Process in the first module of the course. It’s not essential. It will, however, help you practice and solidify your learnings as well as give you someone to experience the journey with and keep you accountable.
You can also reach out to other participants in the online community. This is an invaluable resource. Be sure to ask questions and help others with any questions or discussions they may have posted. Finally, ask for help if you need it. The team at the human enterprise are here to support you and answer any questions you might have.
